Ben Theis
About Ben Theis
In 2012, Ben Theis left the corporate world and rolled up his sleeves to get to work on his dream of going into business for himself. Ben founded Skol Marketing to help small businesses and nonprofits get found online. Ben earned a degree in Sports Marketing and Business from Minnesota State University, Mankato, possesses a love of small businesses and has experience working directly for Google. Ben has combined his knowledge, experience, and passion to create Skol Marketing. Before the creation of Skol Marketing, Ben gained vast experience in roles at the following companies:
- Minnesota Vikings: Facility & Operations Assistant
- 360 Sports: Assistant Director
- Target: Reporting Analyst
- Google: Local Partnership Manager
Through Skol Marketing, Ben creates websites for his clients, uses his experience from working for Google to perform SEO on his clients’ sites, implements online marketing campaigns through the use of SEM and social media, and hosts workshops to educate small business owners on all of the above.

Sports: Ben is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and has been featured in countless articles and T.V. appearances about the Vikings. Ben brings his passion for sports and his competitive edge to the table to help his clients enhance their online presence.
Giving Back: Ben loves working with and has been very involved in Special Olympics Minnesota since 2007 as a coach, unified player, volunteer, camp counselor, and mentor.
Family: Ben and his lovely wife, Emily, live in Plymouth with their two pugs Mango & Rigby!
Just for fun: Ben loves the T.V. show Friends, owns all 10 seasons and can quote nearly every line.

Marty McTigue
About Marty McTigue
Marty McTigue is the President of Skol Marketing. He holds a BA in Business Management from St. John’s University. Since earning his degree, he has held various positions in sales and marketing and met Ben Theis, owner of Skol Marketing, while working on the same team for Google in Minneapolis.
At Google, Marty honed his skills as a field-marketing specialist helping small businesses get found online. Marty has taken these skills to Skol Marketing where he runs their Social Media Program, works on the Web Design team and manages internal marketing operations.
In his free time, Marty loves staying active by playing Ultimate Frisbee, disc golf, and basketball. Like a true Minnesotan, Marty is a big Minnesota sports fan. From the Twins, to the Vikings, to the Timberwolves, to the Gophers, Marty loves them all!
When Marty isn’t playing or watching sports, he enjoys checking out new and old movies and T.V. shows. Marty stays active in the community as a leader in youth ministry by helping out with classes and various camps. He also works hard to keep his college classmates connected by holding a seat on his St. John’s Class Committee in the role of social media manager.

After earning her marketing degree from UNWSP, Nicole took her newfound knowledge and applied it to the digital world, becoming an E-commerce specialist for a local retail company. Three years and change later, Nicole found her way to Skol Marketing, where she was welcomed onto the team as the first-ever SEM + Social Ads Management expert.
When she’s not managing paid search or walking clients through their account performance, you can find Nicole knitting winter hats for family and friends, paddle boarding around Fish Lake, or parading her fighting spirit at Minnesota sports games.

After graduating from the U of M with a B.S. in Business & Marketing, Gretta quickly discovered her passion for helping small businesses grow while finding solutions to their day-to-day problems. Bringing both social media marketing and client-facing sales experience to the table, Gretta was gladly taken up as a new member of the project management team, where she continues to help local clients and businesses find success online.
When she’s not facilitating website design and copywriting tasks, you can find Gretta out and about hiking new trails, lounging in her kayak under the sun, or volunteering at the local dog shelter (because dogs are life).

With a love for telling stories and an equal love for hearing them, Drew took his degree in English and set out to become a copywriter and creative in the world of marketing. And after spending two years sewing words together at a small digital agency here in town, Drew found Skol Marketing and was added as a member of our Social Media Coordination team.
When he’s not knees deep in a copywriting project, you can find Drew in the studio cooking up beats, loitering at local skateparks, or exploring the Twin Cities for places and spaces that no one has ventured before.

With a U of M Business and Marketing degree to her name and a lifelong passion for content creation, Sophia followed her creative calling to Skol Marketing, where she was welcomed in as a member of the social media team. Now, with plenty of practical experience behind her, Sophia continues her efforts by handcrafting unique, trendy, and effective marketing material for each of our clients and even our social accounts!
When she’s not creating TikToks and social posts, you can find Sophia behind the camera making vlogs or strutting down runways at various modeling gigs around the U.S.

With a knack for writing and a Journalism degree to back it up, Britt spent her time post-college laying low at a local creative boutique before switching over to an in-house marketing job at a large manufacturing company. However, recognizing her desire for a more creative environment, Britt put herself back into the world, leading her to Skol Marketing where she was added to our tight-knit team of talented Social Media Coordinators.
When she’s not cooking up social posts, Britt makes use of her free time tending to the whims of her cat, Freya, quenching her thirst for Dateline, and hosting weekly trivia at Black Sheep Pizza.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Strategic Communications degree in hand, Hunter ventured into the Twin Cities advertising scene, where he landed a job with a local agency. Inevitably, his creative ambitions ushered him back to the job hunt, where he stumbled across Skol Marketing and was welcomed in as the newest member of the social media team. On a regular day at the office, Hunter can be found tending to social media clients, creating captivating graphics, and writing SEO content that Google just can’t get enough of.
When he’s not looking at social calendars from strategic angles, you can find Hunter hosting trivia at the Crooked Pint, hiking the great outdoors, or soaking in information via podcasts and audiobooks.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Public Health Education and Promotion degree in her back pocket, Chrissy found her way into the world of health and wellness as a writer, health coach, and quality analyst. From there, she moved into a remote copywriting position at a digital marketing firm before being promoted to project manager. Now, as a bona fide PM, Chrissy continues her passion for crossing t’s and dotting i’s here at Skol Marketing as the latest addition to our Project Management team.
When she’s not chatting it up with clients about their website, you can find Chrissy out adventuring alongside her husband and daughter, on the hunt for great breweries, or reading, writing, podcasting, and everything in between.

After 12.5 years of extensive sales consultant experience working for Thomson Reuter paired with a background in Marketing and Theater, Eve set out for something new that could entertain both her creative and professional endeavors. On the hunt for a sales position at a local marketing agency, Eve fell serendipitously upon Skol, where she was welcomed onto the team as the newest Sales Consultant.
When she’s not holding a phone to her ear, you can find Eve singing in her choir, tap dancing, acting, and creating, or by the lake hanging out and hiking with friends and family.
